Sophia Lucia Breaks Guinness World Record
Sophia Lucia: 10 Year Old World Record Holder!
On March 30, 2013, at 2:30 PST, 10 year old Sophia Lucia accomplished the dream of a lifetime: breaking a Guinness world record! Now, you may ask, what for? Longest fingernails? Biggest eyes? Nope, this one is out of the ordinary. Sophia broke the record for number of consecutive pirouettes en passe, 55 in a row! For people who aren’t dance savvy, a pirouette is a controlled spin on one leg that, in French, means “to turn.” To give you an idea of how huge this is, most dancers don’t do much more than 15, even the most elite and prestigious professionals. Sophia also blew the previous record out of the water, 36 pirouettes which was achieved by Alicia back in 2005.
Sophia’s official Guinness attempt took place at her second home, San Diego Dance Centre in Poway, California. Fans came out to support and watch her through a webcam in a room adjacent to the attempt room - The energy was crazy! As if that’s not enough to blow one’s mind, over 35,000 people who were unable to make it out to SDDC watched Sophia live on Ustream as she attempted to break the record. She was allowed 3 attempts by the Guinness official; with 55 being her highest try. When this was announced to everyone witnessing Sophia’s big day, the entire studio filled with screaming, smiling, hugging, and even crying from Sophia’s supportive parents - tears of joy, of course. It’s not everyday that your child breaks a world record and has a room filled with fans, friends, and family waiting to congratulate her.
After she broke the record, Sophia spent time meeting all of her fans from as far as Florida at the studio. Fans walked away beaming as they had just met one of their favorite dancers and received an autograph and photo opp. A popular dance network, Kar TV, was also present to interview Sophia Lucia at the studio and at her after party with family and friends at Maderas Golf Club. In a nutshell, let’s just say, this day is one to remember and will leave a legacy on everyone involved!

Monsters University - First Look!
When I was a kid, I remember seeing Monsters Inc. in theaters with my mom, dad, brother, and big boy cousin. The day it came out on DVD, I remember begging my parents to buy it for me and it was my number one choice for movie night at Grandma's house. Nominated for many Oscars and winning "Best Overall Song" for "If I didn't Have You," it is still one of my favorite Disney movies because it has something for everyone and is a family fun movie. Having said that, you can only imagine how happy I was when I heard about Monster's Universe, a new movie releasing on June 21, 2013! This movie actually precedes Monsters Inc as it unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcome their extreme differences . Believe it or not, these two mismatched monsters couldn't stand each other for a good amount of time! Directed by Dan Scanlon, the director of "Cars", "Mater and the Spotlight," and "Tracy," this is sure to be a huge hit among all ages.

Have you ever been exhausted on a Thursday night? Too much homework, stressed for that big AP test tomorrow, or in a fight with your best friend? On The Spot Interviews has a solution for you: watch Impractical Jokers on TruTV! This show airs on TruTv Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, and 7 p.m. Pacific Time. It follows four guy friends in New York who became instant friends in freshman year of high school named Sal, Murr, Q, and Joe. The four compete to embarrass each other with outrageous dares, ranging from asking people to donate to a fake charity to announcing they wet their pants in a movie theatre. At the end of the 30 minute episode, the guy who loses the most dares in ways previously determined, is forced to do an "ultimate dare," at least ten times worse than the others. In the recent episode from September 6, we got to see the guys pretend to be dentists, ask people about their thoughts in Central Park, sell snacks at the movies, and much more. The ultimate loser was Sal, but you have to watch the episode to find out what his ultimate dare was - not only was it embarrassing, but extremely yucky! I chatted with the guys Thursday morning to learn more about them!
Q - Before the Impractical Jokers show came to be, Q was well on his way to being an ice cream truck driver. Besides being on this hit comedy, Q hosts a podcast from with two guys from AMC called "Tell Em Steve Dave"! This podcast aims to give listenersa sense that they could jump into the conversation. He even had the chance to do a live podcast tour in England!
Joe - Joe is considered the bravest of the four guys, although he wasn't always like this. He used to be a nerd and his social future didn't look too bright. That is, until he became a shopper for a baby company and transformed to an in-your-face, loud guy he is today. Although Joe isn't married or has kids, he has older nephews who love to watch Impractical Jokers! Joe also works closely with a charity called Daniel's Music Foundation.
Sal - Sal has always been a competitive one, and he loves that he can express this on the show! Although Sal wasn't available for the interview, he is still just like all of the other guys in terms of daringness and funniness. The three other guys shared a secret about him...should I tell? ;)
Murr - Murr believed he learned more in his life from watching sitcoms in the '80's than he did by going to school. He has no boundaries when it comes to performing the dares, and his most favorite one was at a medical convention - stay tuned, it will air in one of the episodes this September!

Jodelle Ferland Phone Interview!
I had the best time interviewing with Jodelle Ferland from The Twilight Saga's Eclipse! Jodelle has always been one of my favorite actresses, so it was an honor to get the chance to speak with her over the phone for a bit. Jodelle can currently be seen in ParaNorman as the voice of Aggie, an awkward girl who finds herself throughout the movie. Since Jodelle has been used to real life films, she said it was funny that she found herself making different expressions and hand motions while in the voice-over studio. Flashback a couple years, and we all know Jodelle as Bree Tanner in Eclipse, a newborn vampire created by Riley. This was a life-channging experience for Jodelle, she was in shock when she got the part of Bree and thought the cast was extremely welcoming. Jodelle loves being in Eclipse, but like most people, she agress the movies keep getting better and better; and cannot wait for Breaking Dawn Part 2! Even though Jodelle lives in Vancouver, you can often catch her in Los Angeles as well for acting and to visit Disneyland! All About Savannah Outen!
Youtube Sensation Savannah Outen chatted with On The Spot Interviews the other day about how she got her spark for singing! At the young age of 2, Savannah knew she wanted to be a singer. With supportive parents who would take Savannah to concerts and music competitions, this alone showed her dedication. Some concerts Savannah attended were NSYNC, LeAnn Rimes, Backstreet Boys, and her favorite, LFO - She was the lucky 8 year old fan to be brought up on stage! She also listened to huge names such as The Beatles and Celine Dion, who inspired her even more to become a singer. Singing is a major part of Savannah's life - Although she lives in Oregon, she visits Los Angeles for concerts and meetings. When in Oregon, Savannah performs covers and originals on her Youtube, some videos soaring with millions of views each! I am happy to announce that Savannah Outen will be one of the featured performers at the ASPCA Rock N Roll L.A. Concert. It's an honor to have Savannah coming down for this event, as she loves raising awareness for any organization preventing animal cruelty and has a yorkie of her own named Jack. Besides being a passionate animal lover, Savannah recently became involved with a charity known as "Music is Medicine," an organization allowing her to skype with patients at the John Hopkins Hospital. The icing on the cake is after the skype session, Savannah actually visits the hospital and performs a song she wrote specifically for the patients! IM5 Set To Perform At Chance To Play!
Want to meet the five guys who together make the popular boy band IM5? Now's your chance! IM5 consists of Dalton, Will. Dana, Gabe, and Cole, five teenage boys who were discovered by Simon Fuller (executive producer of America's Got Talent). IM5 will be making an appearance at the Chance To Play event this Sunday, August 5 - learn more on my previous post and under "upcoming events" Not only will the band be meeting and greeting fans and signing autographs, they will be singing the National Anthem, their original "Everything About You," and Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend." Ryan Potter and Kyle Weiss - Chance To Play Insider!
On The Spot Interviews caught up with Supah Ninja's Ryan Potter, one of the two celebrities who started the Chance To Play event set for this Sunday, August 5 at USC. In a nutshell, starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, attendees will participate in the viewing of a soccer game with Nickeoldeon and Disney celebrities (see "Upcoming Events" for complete list). This event will raise money for two organizations, Toy Boy of Hope (Ryan's organization that collects toys for underpriveleged children in L.A.), and FundAField (an organization started by Kyle Weiss that builds soccer fields throughout poor parts of the world so kids can play soccer). To see the inside scoop about Kyle Weiss and FUNDaFIELD, simply scroll down! Ryan told us that the purpose in his part of this celebrity soccer game is to benefit youth at risk in the bad parts of Los Angeles, and to eventually spread his dream of ending homelessness to multiple cities. Ryan believes the homeless rate in L.A. is insane, a rough estimate of 15,000 children are homeless, some hiding to escape abuse, drugs, or terrible home situtations. This event is going to be a day of fun all raising money for these two great causes, with several event highlights! The top things Ryan says attendees and fans can look forward to are:

These soccer fields bring happiness to everyone who has the CHANCE TO PLAY on them, including people involved in natural disasters and ex child soldiers. Kyle has even been seen on tv with David Beckham regarding the FUNDaFIELD projects. Kyle is dedicated to FUNDaFIELD - not only has he traveled to Africa 13 times and Haiti as well, he organized 4 soccer tournaments in Uganda with 500 players! Introducing Sophia Linkletter!
Sophia Linkletter is this week's rising talent alert! I'm sure many people recognize her last name, as she is the great granddaughter of legendary tv host Art Linkletter. Sophia was recently cast as the main role, Lucy, in a new independent film called "Gawkward." Lucy is a teenager exploring her sexuality who has strict parents. Other projects Sophia has been featured in include "She's A Fox" alongside Hailee Steinfeld, a teaser commercial with Twilight's Cam Gigandet, and interviewed with The Joey and Elise Show. Besides acting, Sophia has a music video for her single "All I Want" starring her and actor Cooper Peltz, and a single called "Rejection." From being at different events and interviewing different people, I was able to get a feel for some of the top talent agencies here in Los Angeles. Bella Thorne Supports DoSomething.Org!
Bella Thorne supports a lot of charities! She hosted a dress giveaway with Ooh La La Couture in which she handed out dresses and shoes to 100 girls living in the bad part of central Los Angeles. She also works with the Make A Wish Foundation so little girls and boys with terminal illnesses can meet her. Most recently, Bella teamed up with DoSomething.org and Staples office supplies store to collect school supplies for those (about 16 million kids in the United States alone) who can't afford them. Staples stores throughout the nation have donation boxes with Bella Thorne inside their stores where shoppers can donate pencils, notebooks, staples, markers, colored pencils, composition books, rulers, paper, and any other school items. Bella filmed a Public Service Announcement for this cause that can be checked out here! How can you help? Three simple ways:
1. Next time you are at Staples, buy an extra box of pencils or other school supply and drop them off in the donation box on your way out. You may have seen these donation boxes before, past celebrities featured on them were Jordin Sparks from American Idol and Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars.

Hope For Mushu
Meet Mushu, a three year old horse at the Rocking Horse Ranch in El Cajon, California. Rocking Horse Ranch provides kids with disabilities mental services, team building and leadership, and personal growth through riding horses. Mushu is one of the horses located at Rocking Horse Ranch, and a favorite among the ranch. Recently, he developed a rare and fatal infection in his hoof, called canker. This disease is so rare that it is practically unheard of in the United States, let alone in California. Because this ranch teaches kids to persevere and not give up, we need to prove this mission by raising money to save Mushu from canker! Recording artists Dylan Hyde and actor Jared Gilmore have teamed up to publicize the campaign to save Mushu and they created a PSA for it: http://vimeo.com/agmg/hopeformushu. Together, we need to raise the $20,000 necessary for surgeries, recovery, and prosthetics so Mushu can be saved from the canker. Otherwise, Mushu will have to be put to sleep. For those of you looking for a big break in your acting career, look no further than Adrian R'Mante's celebrity actors camp! Adrian played Esteban on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody with Cole and Dylan Sprouse. Once this wildly popular show came to an end, Adrian knew he wanted to help kids in the entertainment industry. He wanted them to get experience in team work, build confidence, and eventually land themselves in a feature film, sitcom, or feature film. Avalanna Routh Loves Justin Bieber!
Anyone who keeps up with Justin Bieber's Twitter has probably seen the recent tweets about Avalanna, plus the trending topics #Avalannawillwin and Pray For Avalanna. For those unfamiliar with Avalanna, she is an adorable six year old girl who has an extremely rare form of cancer. She is losing her voice and we don't now how much longer she has to live. Her parents created a Facebook page for her to be able to meet Justin Bieber, and he miraculously saw it! He flew Avalanna to New York to meet him and they played board games, signed autographs for each other, and she was granted the name of Mrs. Bieber. Avalanna aslo appeared on the NBC documentary on June 20, called "All Around the World.," where Justin Bieber gave her a ring and they became "engaged." Avalanna's parents and team urge you to pray for her medical conditions and read more about this form of cancer, known as AT/RT here! - You can also donate for Avalanna and other children with this life threatening cancer using the link! Help Caley Camarillo!
As a lot of you may know, I have a strong passion for helping families who have children with cystic fibrosis, a.k.a. CF. This is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and digestive system, making it very hard to breathe at times. As if this isn't enough, people living with CF are hospitalized numerous times, may have to get lung transplants, and miss out on fun activities. A while ago, Davis Cleveland tweeted a link to a video that a little girl made about living with cystic fibrosis, and this caught my attention. After skimming through Twitter, I found a little girl named Caley Camarillo who has CF. She lived in California like me, so I knew I had to find a way to interview her about living with CF and to promote the bracelets she sells to raise money. I was fortunate enough to get in touch with Caley's mom and we met at an event called Tutus 4 Tots with Ooh LaLa Couture! She made bracelets for all the celebrities and girls at this charity pink carpet event! Caley was such a sweetheart, but I could tell that her health was declining. She was very skinny, pale, and was coughing a lot. So, what does this have to do with Caley? Caley loves being able to go on fun trips, drawing and painting, and doing all activities any 10 year old girl loves. With her health at risk from cystic fibrosis, we need to help Caley with her quality of life now. Introducing Aramis Knight
Rising talent alert! Soon to be 13, Aramis Knight was the perfect person to be featured as this week's celebrity. Aramis is an actor who has been acting since he was 4, which is when he was registered for an acting workshop. At this workshop, the instructors told him he had the "it factor" - he stood out from the rest and was a special boy. He showed potential for acting. When Aramis got an agent, he started booking jobs right away, one of the earlier ones a guest role on Hannah Montana in 2008. From there, Aramis booked commercials for McDonald's, Danimals. k-Mart, and many more. Meanwhile, he was also booking roles for television shows including "General Hospital," "Lost," and "Sons of Tucson." He was recently on the hit comedy "Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures" on Nick, where he played the love interest of Piper (Tiffany Espensen). The rising talent gets better - Aramis has a main role in the feature film "Ender's Games" in which he left Los Angeles and filmed in New Orleans for four months. The movie is set to come out on November 1, 2013, and also features popular celebrtieis: Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Moises Arias, and Asa Butterfield. JawBreaking Clothing Line!
The JawBreaking clothing line will be joining the Vans Warped Tour starting this Friday, July 6, all the way until July 30! JawBreaking is a fun and funky clothing line designed and founded by a 19 year old named Aly Silverio. She started out with a jewelry line, and this launched into a full apparel line called Jawbreaking! Wanted to give a shoutout on this blog to Celeb Secrets 4 U! They have been so helpful with planning the ASPCA orange carpet and concert event on October 6, getting us sponsors and A-list celebrities! Celeb Secrets 4 U is an online blog and youtube channel. The team interviews stars just like me, but they have a little twist on it - In each interview, the celebrity dishes on a secret or hidden talent about themselves. 2. Obtain two 9 by 12 manilla envelopes, found at stores such as Target, Staples, or even Vons.
3. Address the first letter to yourself with your address.
4. Address the second envelope to the celebrity you are writing to by using the fan mail addresses listed below.
5. Write a letter to the celebrity letting them know what you like about them, why you like their show, and a request for an autograph.
6. Fold the envelope addressed to yourself along with the letter, and place it inside the envelope addressed to the celebrity. Make sure both of the envelopes have stamps on them - If you are sending within the United States, $1.10 on each envelope is needed. If you are from another country, use international reply coupons.
7. Send off the envelope to the post office and be patient! Depending on the demand for autographs of a celebrity, you may have to wait a while before receiving an autographed picture back. Usually stars will authentically sign a cast picture, but the popular stars such as Josh Hutcherson or Miley Cyrus may send a pre-printed autograph. Lowe from The Actors Room and Last Chance Productions, this 17 ensemble cast is filled with familiar faces.
