Sierra McCormick and Allie Deberry Meet and Greet

Picture
Disney stars Sierra McCormick and Allie Deberry went to the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad to meet young fans on May 26, 2012. This was part of a Memorial Day celebration, and the turnout was great! There were at least 150 girls and boys waiting to meet these popular ANT Farm celebrities. I was able to coordinate interviews with each of them before they started their meet and greet. We interviewed outside of one of the many beautiful dining areas offered at the La Costa Resort, in front of the massive gold course. I thought it was really nice of Sierra and Allie to drive two hours to meet their fans down here, even posing for pictures and signing headshot pictures. Remember to watch ANT Farm on Disney Channel on Friday nights, Sierra plays Olive and Allie plays Paisley. The interview with Sierra is here, and the interview with Allie is here!

Emma Rose and the Band Perform at House of Blues

Picture
On February 26, 2012, my friends Emma Rose and the Band had a teen band showcase held at the House of Blues in San Diego. Emma Rose is the lead singer in this band, and her brothers Jake and John are the musicians. Before they performed, i interviewed some of my friends who have huge projects coming up. I interviewed Gabriella Holland, Anna Royalty, and Kiana Lyz Rivera.  I spent time with some of my friends who also came to show support to Emma Rose and the Band, and we all sang along to the songs they sang - Love Story, Jesus Take the Wheel, and their original songs; Don't Care and Never Gonna Make me Cry. The House of Blues is a great venue to hold a concert because it consists of a resteraunt, nice stage, and an outside hang out area! Too fun! Pink Army Performance at Children's Museum

Picture
The New Children's Museum recently opened in San Diego and a day was made for crafts, tours, movies, and performances. Alicia Randolph, Maddie Simpson, and Charisma Kain of Pink Army performed and I interviewed them afterwards. They sang some of my favorite songs like Rolling in the Deep, Love You Like a Love Song, Price tag, California Girls, and their new original song - 3D. 3D now has an awesome music video that can be found on http://www.youtube.com/user/pinkarmymusic!! The girls were great speakers and the interview turned out amazing! Be sure to check out all their original songs on iTunes and subscribe to them on Youtube!

Coffee House Lestat's

Picture
For my second interviewing gig, I attended the Lestat's Coffee House in San Diego where performances were given by Torrey Mercer, James Morris, and Kidd Robin. Torrey was kind enough to let me come to watch the gig and even set me up to interview her friend Kidd Robin, a.k.a Ben. Kidd Robin is a 21 year old aspiring singer and dancer, with a music video on youtube for his single "My Universe." I did a pre-show interview, and then watched him perform his single, "Not Over You" by Gavin DeGraw, and Ridin Solo by Jason Derulo. Show support for Kidd Robin by watching his music video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZvFIgTbQto
And listen to him talk about his musical inspirations, plans for new music, and what sports he enjoys:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQLjODCb88w

411 GINA Music Tour

Picture
My first independent interviews took place on October 22, 2011 at the San Diego Music Power store during a music tour called The Squeaky Wheel. Talented singers toured various parts of California and Arizona to give information about profiles of missing people. The tour was organized by Jannel Rap, founder of 411 GINA, an organization dedicated to finding missing people, whether they be kids or adults. Since this tour, many people have been found and Jannel and everyone involved couldn't be more happy. Performances were given by Kenny Eng, Max, Torrey Mercer, James Morris, and Jannel Rap herself. After each of these musicians/singers talked about missing people and performed, I interviewed them backstage. Please go to http://www.411gina.org/ to learn more about this FOUNDation!
